Fink sang as a chorÂisÂter at NaumÂburg, and stuÂdied theÂolÂoÂgy at LeipÂzig (1804-1808). He beÂcame a ProÂfessÂor of MuÂsic at LeipÂzig in 1842. He is reÂmemÂbered for his writÂings on muÂsic hisÂtoÂry and theÂoÂry, and his colÂlectÂions of seÂcuÂlar and reÂliÂgious songs. His works inÂclude:
